GAH! Now that classes have started again, I've fallen into the bad habit of doing everything BUT writing. I've been so lazy, so I haven't been checking LJ as diligently as I should have. What have I missed!?

We're reaching the point in our year, once again, where it strangely feels like everything we've experienced this year is ending, while something wonderful and (possibly) beautiful sits somewhere just around the corners...in the brinks of the horizon. I willingly admit that 2007 hasn't been the best year for me...neither has it been the most productive. Seems as though this year, I ran away from things and hid away from problems more often than I could count.

However, I'd hate to think of this year as another year of "out with the old, and in with the new". I don't want the lessons that I've learned this year--the good and the bad, to be so easily forgotten. While I welcome the new year and all of its possibilities with impish happiness, relieve, and a tinge of daring hope - I will not forget.

Reflections on the past? I have none. Whatever my mind can process, at this point, I'm comfortable to keep it, solely, for myself. Resolutions? One of the greatest lessons of this past year is the fickle nature of humanity. Rigid plans and structured outlines are just waiting to happen when the blaring nature of "reality" crashes into our "plans and outlines". As such, my new year resolution for 2008 is:
